For cascaded splitters, enter the sum of all splitter losses on the selected path. Avoid counting connector losses twice if already included in a component specification. Calculate upstream and downstream separately. This estimate checks loss only; it does not certify the link or check receiver overload, dispersion or protocol reach limits.
